Alex

Physiotherapist

Alex has a true passion for manual therapy which stems from his two degrees in anatomy and physiotherapy.  A deep understanding of how the body works helps Alex to effectively transition patients back to everyday life following injuries.

Alex has completed post-graduate qualifications in occupational health and has worked with many patients from different industries including meat processing, farming, and construction.  This experience gives him the skills to understand the impacts that significant injury can have on return to the workplace and how to tailor treatment effectively to achieve patients’ goals.

Alex is highly skilled in manipulative treatment.  He completed his post graduate diploma and Masters in Orthopaedic Manipulative therapy in 2020.  His skills allow him to provide the best and most recent evidence based treatments for his patients.

Having a multidisciplinary approach is important for patient wellbeing.  Alex works closely with other health professionals including GP’s hand therapists, acupuncturists, podiatrists, musculoskeletal specialists, and orthopaedic surgeons to get the best care for his patients.

Alex enjoys treating the following conditions:

  • Acute and chronic spine injuries and pathologies
  • Pathologies requiring manual therapy including joint mobilisation and manipulation
  • Upper and lower limb pain referring primarily from the spine
  • Tendon pathologies
